Cracked or heavily restored teeth rarely improve on their own. The traditional path is prep and temporary, a lab wait for the permanent crown, then a return visit to cement it.
Same-day crowns remove that second trip when the approach fits. One restorative visit measured in a few hours, not weeks between appointments.
We still examine you first. Same-day changes the handoff and return trip; it does not replace a diagnosis.

When this path fits the case, the crown is designed and placed in that visit window. If your tooth needs something else first (a root canal, an extraction, or more complex work), we will say so after the exam.

Family and general dentistry come first. Same-day crowns are how we finish many restorative cases when the tooth is a candidate. The chairside system is sometimes called CEREC; the outcome that matters is a final crown in the same visit when the plan fits.
How a crown day fits with the rest of your care
- If the nerve is involved, Dr. Will Edwards and Dr. Lauren Lindsey provide root canal care in this office.
- If the tooth cannot be saved, oral surgery: extractions, grafting, wisdom teeth. That care stays here when the case fits.
- If you later need a replacement tooth, dental implants are placed and restored here when that is the plan.
You will be cared for by Dr. Will Edwards and Dr. Lauren Lindsey. Dr. Edwards grew up in Rome. Dr. Lindsey grew up in Cedartown, has been part of this office since 2020 before dental school, and practices here after her May 2026 DMD. Two dentists means more room on the schedule for longer restorative visits.

If a longer restorative visit makes you tense, we offer an oral sedation pill. You will need a driver.
Insurance and estimates
We file with any insurance provider and provide pre-estimates for more involved procedures, including crown work. We accept cash, personal checks, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and CareCredit. Estimates follow an exam of your tooth.
